About Us

The Young Lives Foundation currently provides three rights and advocacy services.

Upfront Rights & Advocacy Service

This service is commissioned by Kent County Council and is for young people in and leaving Kent's care, including young asylum-seekers and young people in the secure estate.

Medway Children's Rights & Advocacy Service

This is commissioned by Medway Children's Services and is for

• young people in and leaving the care of Medway Council; and
• young people entitled to receive support from Medway Children's Services

The Independent Mental Health Advocacy Service

This service is commissioned by the Kent PCTs for Kent young people detained under the Mental Health Act.

We also provide IMHA services under separate contracts for young people at Oak View Hospital, Crockenhill and Cygnet Hospital, Godden Green, who are not from Kent.
