The thought of losing EMA was worrying a lot of us. However, the government has now announced a new scheme that will replace EMA. It starts this September
and the money will be given out by the schools or colleges.
Looked-after
young people and care leavers who continue in education or training at 16 are to
be given guaranteed bursaries of £1,200 a year. Schools and colleges can decide whether the bursary is paid weekly, monthly or annually.
