What’s Going On?

The story so far...

"I have been a member

of the Children in Care

Council for 4 years.

It's great because I have

gained confidence and I

enjoy knowing that I am

helping other young

people in care."

The big differences we have made so far:

  • Made it easier to get the Leisure Pass
  • Increased the amount available for the setting up home grant
  • Made improvements to who can sign consent forms
  • Made Looked-After Children’s Reviews a better experience
  • Reviewed Medway Council's pledge to its young people in and leaving care

Coming Up

We are still working on improving health

assessments and recently we met with one of

Medway's MPs to say that young people need more

help when they are leaving care.
