Who We Are

We are a group of young people in or leaving the care of Medway's children services. By being on the Children in Care Council, we are making a BIG DIFFERENCE for all young people in care.

We vary in age, some of us go to school and some of us go to college or have jobs.

Our job is to represent all looked after children in Medway. We are here to make sure you have a voice and that your views and opinions are heard.

We do this by meeting with senior managers within children's services. This is because we are taking the problems right to the top in the hope it will help in the long run. Our successes have shown us this is the right thing to do.

We do this because we want to help young people in care as much as we can!

We are the voice of young people, like us, in Medway and we want to make a ‘Big Difference’!!
